Kadence Kickstarter: Let’s build together

Let’s build a website together using my two favourite WordPress tools: Kadence WP Theme and Rocket.net Hosting (Now available at Webcentral).

I have designed this Kickstarter to be a high-performance, streamlined workflow that gets your site built correctly from the start.

I’ve spent over three decades as a developer and have a knack for using simple analogies to explain the complex without the mansplaining you might expect from typical tech people. As a listed Kadence expert, I have the experience to ensure your technical foundations are solid so you can focus on your business.

Whilst many people are comfortable having a go with WordPress, the technical side of things. DNS, hosting configurations, and server integrations often create what I call the “Tech Fog.”

The Tech Fog is that place where words like DNS, Nameservers, SSL, Files, Tables, and Migration start flying around. It’s the moment where you realise that if you click the wrong button, the entire digital home you’ve built could vanish in a single click.

That is exactly why I’m launching The WordPress Kickstarter. Because I deal with the technical “plumbing” every day, I rarely get tech fog. The core of this service is in the title of this blog: Build the WordPress website with me.

Whether we work together remotely or you come into my office here in Nowra, we’ll clear that fog together.

How to Prepare for Our Kickstarter

To make our 180 minutes as productive as possible, you’ll need to have your foundations ready before we jump on our call (or meet in person). This session is strictly 3 hours, and we stick to the plan.

Secure Your Domain: Your domain should ideally be registered through Webcentral to keep things simple.
Organise Your Hosting: A Webcentral account with Rocket.net hosting ready to go. This is the only environment I work in for this service because it is the fastest and most secure hosting on the planet.
Content & Access: Have your copy and images ready. I am providing 1:1 training, so you need your content ready to copy, paste, and upload as we go.

Is your WordPress site stuck in a time warp?

In the last month alone, I’ve helped two people who were essentially trapped with old themes that do not work on current WordPress versions or hosting with safe and secure PHP. You can check the official PHP supported versions here to see just how many versions have reached their “End of Life” (EOL).

If your theme is so old that you cannot update your hosting environment, your site becomes a massive security risk.

Ten years ago, a “template” was a rigid cage. Today, we use Kadence Starter Templates and the Kadence AI builder as a professional canvas. They give us a high-performance starting point, but we have the freedom to change every single element to fit your brand in minutes.

How the 3-Hour Kickstarter Works

This is a high-velocity, 3-hour intensive session. While I handle the critical infrastructure, the majority of our time is spent in 1:1 training. You aren’t just watching me work; you are learning the professional logic behind a high-performing site.

To keep this session high-speed and affordable, we follow a very strict logic:

New Builds Only: This is for a fresh installation. We can create a new site or replace your current site, but we are building from scratch on a clean foundation. There is no troubleshooting of existing issues or old themes.
No Design Work: I do not provide design services or creative direction in this session. I provide 1:1 training on how to use the Kadence tools. If you choose a template and populate it with your content, the final look is entirely in your hands.
The Plan is Final: We use the Kadence AI builder or a Kadence starter template. There is no deviation from this workflow. I will be teaching you how to use the tools correctly so you can manage the site with confidence.
Technical Foundation: I handle the “invisible” bits—DNS, SSL, and server optimisations—explaining the logic so you stay in control.
1:1 Kadence Training: This is the heart of the session. I teach you how to use the Kadence Customiser to manage your global colours and fonts. I’ll also share “developer tricks” like responsive design so your site works perfectly on all devices.
The Temporary Sandbox: We build on a temporary domain. Your current website stays live and untouched until you finish your work.
Completion: Once the 180 minutes are up, the technical setup is solid, you’ve been trained on the essentials, and the session is complete.

Empowerment, Not Dependency

Once our 3 hours are up, the technical setup is finished, the Kadence framework is built, and you have the keys. You are then empowered to finish your content on your own time.
